Our Mission
To restore sight worldwide.
Our Members
EBAA’s membership includes eye banks in the United States and around the world, corneal surgeons, and organizations that support the field.
Eye banks form the core of the membership. Corneal surgeons may join the R. Townley Paton Society, which offers educational and information-sharing opportunities and strengthens the relationship between surgeons and the eye banks that supply their tissue. Companies and other organizations aligned with the mission may join as affiliate members.
Our Leadership and Staff
A volunteer Board of Directors, composed of experienced eye bank professionals and corneal surgeons, governs EBAA. The Association also relies on the time and expertise of the many volunteers who serve on its boards and committees. EBAA staff serve members and support their success.

History of EBAA and Eye Banking
Since EBAA was founded in 1961, cornea donation, eye banking, and corneal transplantation have advanced enormously. Our members have provided tissue for more than 2.5 million life-changing transplants.
